Erupting from the great up North, Hull band BREEZE are hailing high standards within the Indie world. Formed back in October 2021, brothers Albert, Harry and Alfred Anderson teamed up with mate Declan Rodgers to release their debut single “Touch the Sky”, then launched across the country with their own brand of explosive indie rock. Now a few singles in, the band release their latest track “She’s Got It” – out now.

We chat to Albert about Breeze’s latest releases and any future plans…

Curly Mouth Releases Genre-Spanning New Album Watermelon & Ginger

You are from the city of Hull, can you tell us about the music scene there?

The music scene is highly underrated in Hull it doesn’t get enough recognition. There’s millions of underground artists from Hull that are great but it’s hard as an artist making it outside of Hull!

Are you pleased with the reaction to your new single “She’s Got It”

Our new single she’s got it has had a mega reaction it has got the highest views and likes out of any of our singles on YouTube! Reaching a total of 28K views.

What is the song about?

The songs is about a girl who just has it all the looks, the body, the vibe. She has something special but you just don’t know what it is.

Do you have an album on the way?

At this very moment an album is on the bucket list but isn’t in the works yet. It is definitely something we’ve always wanted to do holding out for the record label to pay for it !

Any plans to tour ?

We do have plans on shows later this year and, hopefully, a UK tour. All will be revealed in time some very exciting stuff coming soon.

Tell us a funny tour story!

One of our first shows as a band we went over to Cumbria, which is miles away from us, to headline a show! There’s was a night club above the venue where we were playing and the toilet had clogged up and we decided to stick our instruments and gear in the corner of the room by the stage. Next minute- sewage and toilet water came through the ceiling, covering us and the gear, but we pushed through playing the gig and then got the hell out of there never to go back! Haha…. still haunts us to this day the crowd loved us like but yeah that’s not for me.

What is on your wish list for the rest of the year?

To smash this years’ YNOT festival and hopefully get a record deal and take over the music world as the next best band. I know it’s corny but it has to be done – there’s nobody that’s really standing out at the moment in the music world.
