Edfringe Review: The Countess of Fife

There is something special about hearing songs in a stripped-back form. The Countess of Fife (also known as Fay Fife: vocalist from The Rezillos) with her cohort Brian McFie, who plays beautiful guitar while the Countess occasionally adds extra keyboard element

The duo duly deliver an intimate menu of songs that captivate and suggest more. One can almost imagine string and horn accompaniment.

This is an artist who knows how deliver for the innocent, and her casual familiarity with the audience draws you into her worldview

The sequence of intimate gigs is a precursor for the full-blown band which performs with the Countess of Fife at the weekend.

Songs that reek of personal experience are always a very welcome guest. I suggest you discover The Countess of Fife and experience her world-view. I heard many elements of important musical tones, which inspired my imagination. Go see her live!
