Irish singer-songwriter Harry Hudson Taylor has released his new single, “What Do You Take Me For,” offering another preview of his forthcoming EP Hiding From Nature, due later this year.
Best known as one half of Hudson Taylor, Harry has continued to build momentum as a solo artist since launching his independent career in 2022. Blending indie pop, alternative rock, and folk influences, his solo work focuses on personal reflection, growth, and honest songwriting.
Entirely self-produced in his home studio, “What Do You Take Me For” was co-written with Seraphina Taylor, who also provides backing vocals. The track explores the pressures and divisions of modern life, from algorithms and tribalism to the search for balance in an increasingly complex world.
“This song is about how manipulated modern life can feel,” Harry says. “‘What Do You Take Me For’ is the question I kept asking the system, and myself.”
The release follows the success of his debut solo EP More Than Enough and arrives ahead of an Irish and UK headline tour scheduled for October and November 2026. Seraphina Taylor will join him on the run of intimate shows, performing material from both More Than Enough and Hiding From Nature.
With “What Do You Take Me For,” Harry Hudson Taylor continues to establish himself as one of Ireland’s most distinctive independent songwriters, pairing thoughtful lyricism with understated, timeless production.
